HS Coil/Bilstein 5100 kit
his kit comes complete with everything needed to both lift the truck and improve the suspension for the typical weekend warrior. The Bilstiens work wonders controlling the changing terrain while sustaining the quality of on road ride and the HS lift coils better support the trucks front end weight over the factory coils while still offering plenty of flex. If lift is desired for the rear there are two options to choose from, the Deaver add-a-leafs or our HS 3 Leaf AAL. Both do a great job lifting the rear without drastically altering the ride. For more information on both AALs Click Here. Also included in the kit is a 1/4" top plate spacer that can be used to help eliminate the drivers side lean.
On a double cab 4x4 the HS 2" coil/5100 combo will yield approximately 2" of lift and the HS 2.5" coil/5100 combo will yield approximately 2.5" of lift with the shocks set at ZERO (1st notch). The Deaver AAL will provide 1.5"-2.0" and the HS 3 leaf AAL will provide approx. 1.5" without the overload and approx. 2" with the overload retained. For the best possible ride we recommend the HS 3 leaf AAL with the overload leafs removed from the leaf packs. The Icon 3-leaf will provide around 1.5" of lift with the overload removed.

The rear of the Tacoma varies in weight from one side to the other, this is due to the gas tank location which is located on the Driver’s Side. As a result it is not uncommon for a lean to be present both before and after a lift. In most cases this lean is more pronounced following a lift whereas pre-lift a lean may not have been visible. We at HeadStrong Off-Road are not responsible for this lean.
Though we can provide guidance on achieving the stance you are looking for, we cannot predict the final height or whether or not the truck will sit level. The year, model, vehicle options, current condition of your factory suspension, and product tolerances can all influence the end results. The buyer should have a complete understanding of this before he or she places an order. The buyer should also consider these factors when making their selections.
