Performance Bilstein 6112/5160 Kit with OME Dakar Leaf Pack - HS16BK-3
For those wanting a step up in rear capability over our performance Bilstein Kit (HS16BK-2) look no further. Our upgraded bundle kit provides you with the same performance as before, but adds the OME Dakar leaf packs to help improve the load carrying capability over the factory packs.
Up front includes Bilsteins latest 6112 series 2.65" diameter performance strut and coil combination which can be adjusted anywhere from 0 - 2" of lift using the lower adjustment rings (reference table provided below).
In the back you'll get Bilsteins newly designed 5160 series remote reservoir shocks that compliment the 6112's perfectly. These rear shocks feature an additional 1/2" of travel over the original 5160s and come with billet resi clamps that mount to the chassis and brake line extension brackets.
OME Dakar Leaf Pack details
The "Medium Duty" leaf pack (EL111R) will provide approx. 2.0" lift while supporting 0 lbs - GVW while the "Heavy Duty" leaf pack (EL112R)will provide approx. 2.0" lift while supporting a constant load of 660 lbs. Please select your desired leaf pack in the drop down menu below.
In addition to the front and rear performance inspired shocks this kit also includes:
- OME Dakar complete replacement leaf packs
- Extended length u-bolts and FULL poly bushings and sleeve kit for both leaf pack eyes. HS may sub out to comparable bushing and ubolts depending on stock status at time of order.
- OME carrier bearing drop bracket
Coil Selection: Bilstein includes a 14" 600lb coil with their 6112's. They also offer a 14" 650lb coil for an additional fee. The 650lb coil will help support a moderate amount of weight or will provide around 1/2" more lift with the various notch settings over what the 600lb coil provides in the guide below.
NOTE: We recommend cycling the suspension (full up/ down travel), to ensure any other components do not need to be added or modified.

The rear of the Tacoma varies in weight from one side to the other, this is due to the gas tank location which is located on the Driver’s Side. As a result it is not uncommon for a lean to be present both before and after a lift. In most cases this lean is more pronounced following a lift whereas pre-lift a lean may not have been visible. We at HeadStrong Off-Road are not responsible for this lean.
**ATTENTION** Due to the size and weight of leafs springs they do not come boxed or wrapped from the manufacturer and they ship out to the consumer in the same fashion. It is common to receive leafs with scratches, gouges, and the clip pads can be broken and/or missing on them. Since these are under the vehicle and exposed to debris, rocks, etc they will continue to get scratched, gouged, and the plastic clip pads will break and fall off. The packs can be taken apart and painted if the consumer so chooses. Be sure to keep track of the proper orientation of the leafs should you disassemble them. Also it is common for leaf packs to squeak. Though there are anti-squeak pads in place, noise can still occur. It is the nature of metal whenever it comes in contact with metal. There are some ways to help reduce the amount of noise however it is not a guarantee. Please review this popular thread discussing this matter for possible remedies.
