For those looking for a complete Elka kit with aftermarket leaf packs and custom length rear shocks to compliment them, HS has got you covered. Not only did we work directly with Elka to spec out true extended length coilovers, but we took things a step further and speced out rear extended length shocks to compliment those aftermarket leaf packs.
Both the 2.5 remote reservoir coilovers and remote reservoir rear shocks are a direct bolt-on upgrade over OEM shocks. The extended length remote reservoirs coilovers are designed to provide up to 3 inches of lift and the extended length rear reservoir shocks are designed to accommodate up to a 3” rear lift.
The shocks in this kit will significantly improve the suspensions performance all while maintaining a comfortable on road ride. And unlike most of the competition, Elka includes detailed installation instruction as well as the necessary tooling for ride height adjustment.
*We worked directly with Elka to spec out and provide our customers with an extended length coilover and rear reservoir shock (currently Elka does not offer either) such that you can maximize the range of motion in your suspension in order to gain additional droop.

NOTE: OME Leaf pack option also includes OME carrier bearing drop bracket (FK29), bracket not included with other leaf pack options. We recommend cycling the suspension (full up/ down travel), to ensure any other components do not need to be added or modified.

WHO IS ELKA?

The rear of the Tacoma varies in weight from one side to the other, this is due to the gas tank location which is located on the Driver’s Side. As a result it is not uncommon for a lean to be present both before and after a lift. In most cases this lean is more pronounced following a lift whereas pre-lift a lean may not have been visible. We at HeadStrong Off-Road are not responsible for this lean.
**ATTENTION** Due to the size and weight of leafs springs they do not come boxed or wrapped from the manufacturer and they ship out to the consumer in the same fashion. It is common to receive leafs with scratches, gouges, and the clip pads can be broken and/or missing on them. Since these are under the vehicle and exposed to debris, rocks, etc they will continue to get scratched, gouged, and the plastic clip pads will break and fall off. The packs can be taken apart and painted if the consumer so chooses. Be sure to keep track of the proper orientation of the leafs should you disassemble them. Also it is common for leaf packs to squeak. Though there are anti-squeak pads in place, noise can still occur. It is the nature of metal whenever it comes in contact with metal. There are some ways to help reduce the amount of noise however it is not a guarantee. Please review this popular thread discussing this matter for possible remedies. It is centered around OME however the same is true of all leaf springs.
These kits are not guaranteed to level your truck, they can be used to do so with success; however, the final outcome is ultimately the buyers responsibility. Though we can provide guidance on the various selections available, we cannot predict the final height or whether or not the truck will sit level. The year, model, vehicle options, current condition of your factory suspension, and product tolerances can all influence the end results. The buyer should have a complete understanding of this before he or she places an order. The buyer should also consider these factors when making their selections. If the customer buys the kit they understand that the leaf springs will not be in perfect condition and fully accepts this fact and will trouble shoot (paint, grease, source replacement clips) if need be.
